a short horror
I cannot escape it; I have so long lived in the iniquities of solitude and within the grasp of the eldritch murk of this pit I have been condemned to. Time has lost all meaning as my circadian prison slowly ticks out of sync. Dancing visions come to me now, as I finally succumb to despair. In this moment as I give up hope, lights twinkle in my eyes. Inescapable even in the moments I blink; the sole reminder of my persistence. I can do nothing but watch, at the mercy of the demons of my mind. Had I lived a purposeful life? I wonder. I don't know, for i can't remember a time before the Void. Alone to my thoughts, i am left to ponder.

But then i wake up.
