Thoughts on expectations
There's nothing greater than having someone understand you fully and feeling as if you are on the same page. But there's nothing worse than the moment you lose it. Its a punch in the gut that releases enzymes, stealing away our ability to create happy hormones. I felt that way when my first love told me that he preferred the company of others to mine. I feel that way tonight as I am beginning to see that even a beautiful house can have a cracked foundation. Perfection is a farse, love is not a feeling, and promises are only as good as the foreseeable future. Flowers that we buy ourselves won't ever be tossed in the trash with malice. You must constantly ask yourself what it is that you want; evaluate your feelings because no one else can validate you like you can.
