Matter of Fact

As a matter of fact I like to rhyme,
but I don't have the time to act sublime
as a few get together and chat
about the weather, and do
what brats usually do.
I guess I'm tethered
to the mess I measure
by the chatter of the neighbors next door.
With tact, I made a pact
to be a social satyr,
climb a creative ladder,
and be adored for the ballyhoo
of my newfound poetic view
found, in whatever topic I desire.
