The end or is it?
Western Wilds , the end or is it?

The witch is so angry know she starts to plot. How can she pay this little town back how? Then it comes to her she grew up in a somewhat Christian home and she knows about the sickness God sent on Egypt to get the Pharaoh to let his children go. That's what she would do, she would send a green mist among the people that would kill everything it touches not just the firstborn. She would wipe out the townspeople in no time flat. That would teach them jerks to kick her out of their town just because she was different she thought. I mean who cares if I am a little different or even a witch is there not room in this world for everyone or shouldn't there be, she thought? "I will teach them if I can't be happy and live in peace no one will." She would send the mist she decided under the cover of darkness, she thought so it will not be as obvious. So that's what she did. One Sunday evening right as the townspeople were getting ready for church service that evening and it was starting to get dark the mist came. It came over the big hills and little hills. It came up the dirt roads and spread into the grass and caves it spread everywhere. As people left their hopes just at the peeked of darkness, the people began to fall. What in the world was going on the people wondered? A Doctor reaches out to his fallen nearby wife and shirked in horror she dead that was his last words before he dropped as well. The rest of the town retreated in horror to their homes. They began to call each other on their phones trying to figure out what was happening. They didn't know but they decided that until they knew all windows and doors would be locked uptight. So that was done in every home asap. This was good because it seemed like everyone with there windows still open had fallen dead as well because the mist was getting in. Thankfully since it was late fall not too many windows were open.

What would they do, what could they do, would they ever leave their homes again? They were so afraid and angry. The little townspeople stayed in their homes for two days before they got an answer. Which it was good that the answer came because they dead needed to be buried and soon so more sickness wouldn't spread over the little town. The witch herself came into town and bragged about the spell and about killing so many. She made it known that she wouldn't rest until they all were dead. The townspeople were scared and angry. They waited for the witch to leave and then came out to view the damage. When they came out they found out not only people were dead but animals and plants any living thing the mist touched would die. They buried the dead and or sit some aflame because there were so many dead. It was so sad but they had to figure out how to stop the witch. How to keep the little town safe. What to do they didn't know what to do. The believers of God in the town started to pray. They worked and prayed, prayed, and worked for days before something came to the mayor. They had to cover all plants before dark. They had to make sure every animal was in the stables and every window and or door locked up-tight. Every crack had to be sealed or stuffed with something. Every woman, man, and child had to be in before dark. Every door and window had to be closed tight. The mayor would send out a message to the neighboring towns for help. They would hire a witch-hunter and or killer. This witch had to go even if that meant killing her. Maybe killing her would make the world a little better he thought.

In about three months' time, every person wanting to be a hero came out of the woodworks. None of them prevailed over the witch or the mist. People still were dying anytime anyone was not in at dark, any plant not covered or animal not locked up died. Soon the townspeople figured out how to do everything before dark and to be in on time but by then lots had fallen prey to the mist. It took about six months to figure out how to do this perfectly. Well, as perfect as they could because even now sometimes still an animal or something would fall prey to this mist. If they didn't cover up a plant just right it would be dead in the morning. If a mouse crept out of its hole to go outside for food or water it would be dead in the morning. If a cat or dog didn't come home because it wandered off to hunt or play and was out at dark it would be found dead in the morning. This witch had to go. Thankfully a hero a real one did show up about eight or none months into the ordeal. He was smart and God-fearing and he knew about dealing with evil spirits and spiritual warfare. His name was Danny. Danny had to somehow get her to be killed by her own mist but how? Danny lay in wait outside her home for her to leave so he could case the place for weeks on end and nothing. She rarely left her home and when she did she was back in an hour or less so Danny had to be quick. One day he watched her return with the small little basket she always came and left with most like a shopping basket. He decided to be brave today and sneak a little closer. He had some catnip with him which he led the cats outside away with. He looked in the window and what did he behold the witch was pulling a small baby out of the basket. A baby wow now he knew how to lure her into town. Any good mother would come after her missing child. He just had to hope the witch was a good mother and would take the bait. He also had to figure out how to get the baby away from her. As he pondered this one of the outside cats came back and was hissing up a storm. Danny had to disappear fast before the witch spotted him. she heard the cat and quickly came out on the porch. "I see your footprints witch killer and I smell your flesh you will never get me no never." She knew of him but how was this possible? He began to walk faster to get away from her house, but in one instance she was standing about 50 feet from him. She never said anything she just laughed at him and disappeared as quickly as she had come. She was toying with him that witch was messing with his head. Had she been aware of him all along? Was she going to trap and or kill him? This made him angry and even more determined to get rid of her now. After all, it was personal now.

After a day or two, he thought he had figured it out. The very next day he and the mayor set out for the witch's home. Like before Danny went close to her home leading the outside cat's away again with catnip and treats this time also. He peeked in the window the witch was rocking her baby to sleep it looked like. Sure enough, the same cat came back first hissing up a storm. This time the witch was angry she rushed out the door just as Danny took off running as fast as he could. She stopped for a moment the baby was inside she could just leave her baby. Well maybe just for a moment because she could easily catch him and kill him.If she killed him than she wouldn't have to worry about him returning to bug her. He was kind of handsome but he was a witch killer after all and she couldn't take any chances. So she went after him and in a couple of minutes, she was upon him. Just as she was about to speak he threw dirt in her eyes and ran. "OH you are making me angry I will get you just give up now because when I do get you your dead." They were about 150 yards away from the house now she grabbed him up off the ground smiling before she spoke however he said slyly "what about the baby?" Oh no her heart dropped how could she have been so dumb? Just as she turned and started running for the house she got about 70 feet away she saw the mayor speed off in a car with her baby. "My baby she yelled in anger I will kill them both." As she turned to go back and kill Danny first she noticed he was already in the mayors fast convertible speeding away. Her baby, oh no, she was gone and it was her fault. She was really angry at how dumb she had been but it wasn't over yet. They wanted to use her baby to lure her into town somehow and kill her she knew. She didn't think they would harm the baby so she just wouldn't show up right away making them think she didn't care about the baby. Then she would sneak in while they all were still sleep find her baby and kill them all. She let them have the baby for about a week before she could take it no longer and decided to make her move. A little after 5 am when she knew the mist would soon be departing from the town she set out for the town making it to the town just about sunrise. She knew that the townspeople were really scared of the mist and would be coming out until the sun was good and up. She crept in not knowing there was a lookout even now looking dead at her. He called the mayor and told him she was coming. When she got about half-way in the town Danny jumped out with a small red container. He splashed it all over her it was gas. She screamed in horror and anger. She could not see and in her anger, she didn't respond quickly enough to get away or kill him. He grabbed her and tied her to a nearby old barn stake. He tied her good and tight and splashed her with holy -water to weaken her. She was really angry now and yelling and cussing at him. "I have enough holy-water to keep you weak all day and when night comes just before dust I am going to set you on fire." ".Between the fire and your killer mist you are done for." She knew this was true and began to cry. Maybe her tears would move him to let her go just maybe. "No need for the tears I will not be moved by them, not at all missy."

This looked like the end of the witch. She was weak and tired and hurting from the gas and holy-water he kept pouring over her like every hour. It was also very hot that day and the heat and gas didn't mix too well needless to say. Her beautiful skin was starting to blister and burn under the hot sun. She begged for her life and her child's life. To no avail, it seemed because he just keeps pouring gas and holy-water on her every hour. Finally, she played her last card the ever one deserves a second chance card. She played on his love of God telling him that wasn't his God a forgiving God and doesn't that mean he should be also. She told him she was truly sorry and if he let her go she would leave town her and her baby and never return. He told her that he didn't believe her but if she was willing to leave the baby behind and go than maybe he would let her go. Give those nasty townspeople her baby to raise to be like them or even kill could she do this. Her life was in danger still so he agreed to his proposal. He splashed lots of clean soapy water on her, then freshwater on her, then cut her down. He poured a little more holy-water on her just to make sure she wouldn't put up too much of a fight on her way out of town. She was tired and defeated so he didn't have to worry, she ran for her life in about 15 minutes she was out of the town. She was so tired so she couldn't run far, so she slowly walked all the way home. She packed her bags and was gone, she disappeared without a trace it seemed. The town was free the mist stopped showing up and the witch was gone. It was about a year later and the town was celebrating Christmas. They had a big Christmas party and hired a Santa. The Santa was nice and jolly. The kids seemed to really love the Santa and even more so the little witch's baby the town now called Reba. The Santa handed out toys to all the kids and left. In all the noise and Christmas goings-on no one noticed that Reba had gone missing for about 20 minutes. It was too late however because Reba had crawled into Santa's bag after a doll and was snatched up. When Santa got about an hour away from the town he took of his hat, wig, and beard it was the baby's mom. Yes, the witch had come for her baby, she just couldn't leave her baby with them. She and her baby left town quickly, flying to another place altogether. Meanwhile, the little town she left was on high alert from then on. Maybe this was the witch's biggest payback because they would never know for sure where she was or if she was coming back to kill them all. Danny only got paid three small diamond's on the count of the fact the witch was gone but not dead. The diamonds were about one kart each which was still a pretty good payday. The townspeople did ask him to leave town however, they were still angry about the fact that he let her go.
