Spiritual awakenings
My Journey is long, the road is rugged an thorns reach out to tear my skin - yet I press!

My feet are covered with blisters which have festered with every grateful step - yet I press!

My mouth dry and the taste of dirt entertains my tongue - yet I press!

My eyes squint at the sun's brightness and it's heavy rays burn my skin - yet I press!

My knees are scraped and bruised, bleeding from the many falls I have endured. They ache in agony - yet I press!

My hands look dismantled as blood rushes from the gashes - yet I press!

I tell myself just a few more steps, just a few more agonizing moments, then I can give it all - So I press!

I tell myself it's only moments now, only a little more- So I press!

As I reach my end, my journey is over. The pain is gone, the blood has stopped. I looked up to You and gave it all. Laying there broken yet whole, scarred yet released, so I get up revived and atoned - And I press!
