On letting love go
Remembrance

The greatest gift I can give you
as life carries you far away,
though these arms still long to hold you,
is to set free the love,
the passion held here in my heart for you.

As the night breeze reverently flows
over the tops of mighty trees,
my love flies like flocks of pure doves
as I open my heart --
letting you go to the welcoming wind.

Some velvety night as you stand,
gazing at the heaven's glories
so far above; you may enjoy
the wind's embrace and know,
it is my love, a remembrance of me.
