Writer's Cramp entry
Tonight, hot greasy people
walked hot greasy streets.
I dripped with sweat.
Buildings steamed,
lamp posts glistened, wet with sweat,
exhaust-stained windows
sweat brown streaks.

Then, an answer to prayer.
A loud crash and the rains came.
Greasy slime slid down the walls,
ran off streets and sidewalks,
into sewers where it belongs.
Misty rainbows cooled the steam.
Neon reflections created dancing sprites.
I raised my arms, soaking wet
and breathed a thankful sigh of relief.
