A fictional story about the narrator's dream. {The rest is on top of the story.}
What's real is dreaming

And what's dreaming, is real.

I dreamt I woke up.

All I could hear was the sound of Faded by Alan Walker.

But I wondered, where was I?

I remembered seeing a house, my house, but it wasn’t my house.

I didn’t know at the time so I entered it, hoping I could sit on the couch.

But when I opened that door, there was something wrong with the floor. I wondered where it was.

It was replaced with waves of water. In the waves, there was the sun, the moon, and an eye for an eye.

The weirdest thing was that I was able to walk on it. I walked till I stepped on something…

It was a book. There were two titles. Once Upon A Time and The End.

I wondered what it meant. A book’s only supposed to have one title.

Until the book broke into a bunch of pieces to reveal two halves, one sword, one dark, one light.

Until the ocean collapsed into the sky. I was already drowning, but now I was falling.

And then, I woke up.

I was still dreaming, but everything was real.

Except the world was gone. All life had ended.

But… If all life had ended, Why was I here?

I looked at the sky I had once fallen from…

Did I end the world? Without notice?

And then an unnoticed asteroid came and landed where I stood.

I died. But, I’m not dead.

I’m sitting on my couch. You know the one I was hoping to sit on?

This time the floor is the floor.

The book was still there. But with only one title.

I got off the couch to reach for it, but the more I tried to grab it, the more it would move farther away…

But, I didn’t quit. I kept trying to grab it…

And then, it stopped.

The room was dark. I was so focused on the book I didn’t notice.

There was a wooden door at the end of where the book stopped.

I looked at the book, The title said, “Beware a page that opens and closes“.

I then opened the book to a page with a lock. There was a key, but it wasn’t here.

I then realized it must be in the book. I looked for a page with a key on it.

Until I realized it was on a page that opens and closes like the title.

I looked at the door, ran toward it, and turned the knob.

It was locked, like the lock in the book. There’s a key within the pages that open and close… But, the thing about books is that each page opens and closes.

Once upon a time when you begin a page, The end when you flip to finish a page.

That’s what the book meant when it had two titles… so?... What does it mean by “Beware”?

I unlocked the door with the key. But, What’s on the other side?

Is there something that will kill me? The book’s top secrets?

I slowly turned the knob, unprepared for what’ll happen.

When the door opened, there were two halves, one night, one day.

The ocean was in the center. Eyes waiting for something…

Then It was all real.

I fell asleep.

I never woke up.
