A collection of musings , opinions, contests and matters of general interest.
"Advise is for others to follow" , I recalled this famous adage when I came across a post on our writing.com . Yes it's true it gets a cold reception unless it's followed and demonstrated by the advisor him/herself. It's an evergreen truth more so with the present-day community leaders and politics . I got tempted to write on it for contemplation .

One of the boys volunteers readily “Come, grandma, don’t worry, I’m here to help you” held her hand, led slowly out into foot path, waited for traffic to slow down, asked her to follow . Walked slowly ... [Read more]

Accept first what you get as your share, it's Lord's Dictum “Palige bandaddu Paramaanna” or “Palige bandaddu Panchamrutha”is a popular Kannada saying. It means “That which comes to your share is Pudding”. Here I mean by pudding, it’s a flavored, custard-like dessert made of milk, sugar, and a thickening agent such as egg yolks or corn starch. “Paramaanna”in Kannada relates to this pudding. The word “Panchamrutha” has a specific connotation. Hindus wo... [Read more]
My Blog Writing Style, Written for 30 DBC Prompt Nov 10,2020
November 10, 2020 at 4:23am
My Blog Writing Style. My writing style depends on how it started, whether it was prompted by a given set of requirements or it was out of the urge to write something without any requirements or prompt given. If it is against a prompt or a subject specified I write a draft or a layout plan surrounding the requirements consisting of a frame work. An essay is planned on a frame like objective, scope of the essay, my points in support of or against it. Then the concluding points.... [Read more]

Word "Review" in my legend with regard to a "Writing"
November 18, 2020 at 8:12pm
Word "Review" in my legend with regard to a "Writing". I read short but sweet stories that bring fun and fantasy, joy, carry me out into an imaginary world where I could enjoy and vent my deep feelings for characters in the story whom I like and identify myself with. Within this framework of my reads, I take time to brood over the way it’s written, it’s positive traits that appeals my palate more than anything else. It’s a learning exercise for me to impr... “Values”! What values? Where are they? are they eroding? The other day I was reading posts on reader’s blog, as a routine, a force of habit. Laughing to myself, was amused how an idle brain works! A read hungry tom! When I conscientiously tried to follow Mark Lewy author of “Accidental Genious” , at l... [Read more]
