GUNFIGHT AT WRITINGCOM

There once lived a gunfighter,
back in eighteen sixty three.
No one knew what his name was.
He just went by HarryG.

Being real fast with his pistol,
he’d gunned many cowboys down,
but that all happened before,
the Stormy Lady came to town.

She wore two big old Forty-Fours,
tied low on shapely hips.
Said she was after HarryG,
a sneer upon her lips.

Now the sheriff was J Alan,
his deputy Countrymom.
They made it plain, would be no killing,
in the town of Writingcom.

Strange name for a western town!
Is that what I heard you say?
Well you’re not the Storyteller.
That title’s mine today.

It wasn’t long before a rumor,
in all the town was heard,
passed along by an Indian,
known only as Redbird.

The gunfight was outside of town,
but all the town-folks went to see,
who would be the fastest gun,
the Stormy Lady, or HarryG.

Since you think I’ve been lying
and don’t believe me anyhow,
get – THE END, from the Milkman,
or his old brown cow.
