Seminar enrollment is limited to eight students. Seminar must enroll a minimum of five students to run. Applications close when we accept eight applicants or five days prior to the start of the seminar, whichever happens first. We will maintain a waiting list in case an applicant drops out. Tuition is 10,000 GPS, with 1,000 due at time of application and the balance due within five days of being accepted for admission, except that in any case all tuition is due not later than five days prior to the start date of the seminar. You must place a minimum depost of1,000 GPS toward your tuition when submitting this form. You may elect to deposit the entire tuition of 10,000 GPS at the time of application if you wish, but see the refund policies below. Refund Policy. WDC charges a 5% fee before crediting any GPS to the receiving account. Thus, we only net 95% of the amount you transmit against your tuition. If our policy below calls for a refund, it is ONLY for the net amount we actually receive, i.e., for 95% of the amount you sent. Your tuition, including any deposit received against tuition, is refundable if 1 you are not admitted to the seminar; or 2 you withdraw your application a minimum of one week prior to the start of the seminar; or 3 we have fewer than five qualified applicants five days prior to the scheduled start; or 4 the instructor disenrolls you for cause. (see below). Tuition Waivers The instructor has reserved 16,000 GPS to waive of some or all of the tuition for students who could not otherwise take the seminar. If you feel your personal circumstances qualify for tuition assistance, please write directly to Max Griffin 🏳️🌈   , including the rationale for your request. Minimum requirements for admission. You must verify that you are least 18 years old or older. You should know how to create a WDC item and how to set the access restrictions to either "unrestricted" or "group only." You should know how to post to a WDC message forum. You should have posted at least one public fiction item and one public review on WDC. Our intention is to admit all adult applicants to the seminar. However, we will review the portfolio of each applicant to be sure that they will be able to benefit from the instruction and contribute productively to class discussions. All decisions of the instructor regarding admission are final and not subject to appeal. Admission is first come, first served on a space-available basis. Applicants agree to participate in the seminar activities, respect the opinions of others, and maintain civil discourse. Students who violate these expectations will be cautioned that further violations will result in removal from the course. Repeated violations will result in removal from the course. In this case, tuition will be refunded, less the 5% surcharge that WDC assesses for GPS transactions. Except for having a minimum age for enrollment, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.
