I have Saxon blood and love all things Viking. But they didn't always win their battles.
Life never forgets our choices
Outcomes value rarely matches the cost
Regret for those who lacked foresight
And tears for all who were lost

Redemption's mercy sort through challenge
Hopes and prayers we might turn it around
Virtue for past times relived
As our blood spilled onto the ground

Dark days overtake confidence
Taken down like we weren't even there
Sorrow breeds weakness of the heart
A losing battle waged with despair

It's over now...lay down your arms
And we live to fight another day
The world smiles a sweet surrender
The battle lost and asunder swept away
