For when you're half awake.
You know that feeling you get in the morning? You're still laying in bed, a warm blanket weighing down on your limbs like a gentle cloud. The thin rays of golden sunlight are streaming in through your window blinds. You yawn, your eyes trying to open as your eyelashes seem to stick together.

And it's beautiful, that feeling.

It feels like nothing else really matters, nothing else is real. The silence is broken only by the gentle rustle of the leaves and the birds' melodic chirping.

But as the sun continues to rise, as the day continues on, it wears off. The birds get drowned out by the occasional car or by the sounds of your toothbrush. Water rushes down your sink drain and you rub your eyes.

We always have to get up, to face the world.

You never want to.
