Man for his selfish need cuts down trees, who hold no malice towards him.
The Fallen Log

O weary brother,
Come rest a while!
Mother Earth birthed us to stand tall.
I,
Regrettably pulled down,
Lie on the ground,
A sad consequence
Of uncaring action.
You
I welcome,
To recline, take comfort and-
Softly melt into my rough still form.
