The words of the song go like this:

Whenever I am alone with you
You make me feel like I am home again.

The song makes me feel welcome and needed when my special boyfriend comes home. It's the exuberant rush that comes to my brain when I see that special person; the only thing that I want to do is to be alone with him. When he came home again, I was very touched.

There are verses in the song when combined that say; whenever I am alone with you, I feel whole, young, clean, and free again.

This song, I'm thinking, talks about addiction (either through alcohol, drugs, depression, eating, or abuse). It talks about a person who might be lost. When he was away for a while, my thinking is that he had discovered this during his journey when he began to see a lightbulb go off in his head. He began to think about his girl and found that she wasn't half as bad as he thought she was.

There are some other verses in the song that says; no matter how far away, whatever words I say, and however long he stays, that he will always love you.

The words are very strong and sweet; they are telling her that he will always love her. I'm not able to tell whether he is a single man or married. If he were single, he ought to ask his girl to marry him. If he were married, he could have his wedding vows renewed. I would think that a gesture like this would strengthen their relationship even more. By renewing their vows it would make them feel whole, young, clean, and free again. This would be very refreshing. This would bring about an immense amount of feelings such as the first time that they had met; the excitement of going out on a date, and doing what he could to please her. All those things and more could restore an aliveness that would trigger back the youthfulness in themselves. Could you imagine how great your body would feel? You could feel like the "Six Million Dollar Man"; you would have incredible strength. To imagine yourself as "Mighty Mouse", when he made the statement, "Here I am to save the day", would be wonderful. Just think of all the possibilities.

The words, "I Love You No Matter What" is powerful; they would give her the reassurance she would need to give her confidence that she could always count on you. This would certainly erase any doubt that she would have regarding the love you have for her. A girl needs to hear those words.

The last words of the song say:

However long I stay, I will always love you.

Hopefully, he would stay with her for a long time. She undoubtedly left a good impression on him to say that he will always love her. This speaks well of a good woman. Kudos to her!

The song, "Love Song" left a good impression on me; the music was well suited to the song. The Cure did a great job!
