Slam poetry on Cupid.
Stupid Cupid

Oh, the stupid things you made me do
A total fool when your arrow flew
Three times now you’ve picked on me
Always I’ve crashed spectacularly

The first was really out of my class
It was no surprise I ended up last
Next was just a massive crush
Best to leave that one in a hush

The third was the real humdinger
And all because you pointed the finger
My rearguard lasted all of a year
Now I’m drowning memory in beer

Connie Francis was right you know
When she sang with voice so low
The words that today occur to me
Oh, stupid Cupid stop picking on me
