Troubles of love
Is love a gift
Or does it hold
you tight in its arms
holding you hostage
You want it so badly
You’ll do anything
Even after
giving you brief moments
of happiness and bliss
then ripping it away
repeating this cycle
slowly taking apart
your trust, your desire to love
and to be loved
It holds you there
Piece by piece
Stripping away like paint
until everything that made
your heart, a heart is gone
and only an empty stone remains
You might recover someday
or maybe you are one of those
whose trust always stays
despite every blow, every loss
The slow discontinuation
Of everyday contact
it always prevails
you never stop wanting love
you have an endless supply
who is better off?
who has more cons?
To have no limit to love?
Or those who cuts themselves off
from any more hostage situations
