Poetry from a homeless man
A head turned,
A dollar earned,
A lesson learned,
Another bridge burned.

Cycles cycle, the world turns,
A broken heart for a breaking yearns,
Lonely longing soon returns,
In the eyes of someone new.

If you forget you'll be forgotten,
Food for thought unused goes rotten,
Don't take burlap when they've got cotton,
Unless you like the rash.

Aim your sights upon the stars,
Even poor shots will go far,
Don't walk when you've got a car,
Unless it's to be humble.
