JESUS GAVE ALL: Easter story poem

I’m in His army and we are at war
To life eternal, he opens wide the door
His sacrifice His life He willingly gave
For all people, He gladly did save

Friday He hung on the cross
but, it wasn’t a terrible loss
on Sunday He rose again
Life eternal He did extend

All His life He gave He never took
It’s all written in the sacred Book
Easter marks His day of resurrection
I hold this close with much affection

Easter treats and bunny too
It’s a celebration and a much to do
Although it’s nice I need not think twice
my salvation an awesome gift from Christ

My love for God and Jesus you know
strengthens as our relationships grow
I hold Easter very close and dear
Jesus my friend stays very near
