Dramtic

“Call the police!”
“Come on. Don’t be dramatic.”
John watched how his sister, Helen, coward at the corner of her room. Her eyes were wide open, staring into the dark open closet. He could not believe he was woken up due to an insignificant spider.
“It’s probably gone by now.” John said as he yawned.
“I mean it!” Helen cried. “Do it now! Before it’s too late.”
“Yes. Officer, please hurry. The spider ran into my closet.” John mocked.
“You have no idea what I saw! What I heard!”
John sighed and rolled his eyes. He could never understand why his sister had to be so dramatic.
“It can’t hurt -”
“Not a spider! It said my name.”
John laughed.
He walked into the closet and turned on the light.
“See, nothing.” John announced as he turned towards his sister.
“I saw it!”
“What did you see, exactly?” He was beginning to feel annoyed.
He noticed that Helen was not staring at him but behind him. Her mouth moved with no comprehension and no sound.
“I am going to bed. Enough of this nonsense. I have a big day ahead of me!” John said exasperated.
“Behind you!”
Once again John turned to the closet. He shook his head in disbelief.
John.
“Huh?” John said surprised. He stared at his sister. Was he hearing things?
“Please. Don’t!”
John slowly moved the clothes to the side. He gasped. There, it stood tall, with a wicked grin and a sharp knife.
“Quick! Call the Po-”John cried but stopped cold. He felt a sharp blade enter his stomach. Helen screamed.
“Run.” John stammered, crumbling to the floor as he began to lose consciousness.
I guess she’s not dramatic after all.
