Some young girl went through a sad/tough time. This poem is in the Minute Poem form.
Her lover's face was white and gaunt
The scene would haunt
Her sleep at night
From death's cold sight.

Her mind in thought about the past
Fear didn't last
She must go on
Meet life head-on.

She prayed to see a brighter day
On her birthday
With peace in mind
And love to find.



Minute Poem form: 3 stanzas, 8,4,4,4,: 8,4,4,4: 8,4,4,4
12 lines, 60 syllables in iambic meter
rhyme scheme: a,a,b,b, c,c,d,d, e,e,f,f
No she did not kill him!
