The tale of Camelot is over but two of it's destroyers remain at large, so it would seems.
It was over, Camelot had fallen, Arthur was dead, the hope of a kingdom to stand against the coming darkness gone. And only two of the people responsible for it all would be put on trial, to legends they were the traitorous knight Mordred and the witch Morgan Le Fey. The truth however was that they were the kin of the Second race of Earth, human in appearance but longer lived, higher learning capacity, and the ability to see beyond mortal sight.

Having lived underground away from most knowledge of humanity they built their own society, some living double lives to gather resources unavailable, most of the time, beneath the Earth, such as food, water, and some of the basics of the overland despite being primitive to them. Some enjoyed the simple things and tasks in life on the surface amongst humans, from shepherding, to loom weaving, carpenters and merchants they had a good time as the centuries passed. Sometimes humans would be welcomed into their world and even become one of them, this was needed mostly due to the first seven of their race were all male. Underground they thrived and advanced, harnessed electricity millennia before Benjamin Franklin took time to study the phenomenon, by Camelot in the 5th century, their space program was on the cusp of making effective FTL and had since reached a few hundred light-years beyond the solar system.

All the tech however was dangerous as many less than reputable humans would use them as weapons, or tools for their pagan rites, blasphemy in this races eyes. A few disasters would pop up here and there across the globe but some were utter catastrophes. Despite Arthur's worthiness, this disaster was one of the worst.

To understand, these people sometimes got orders from the Creator to begin a project that depending on peoples choices would be greatly beneficial in the long run so long as no humans made a mistake that spoiled the whole thing. Now this is being translated in a manner that people reading would understand who, what, and where, so the names only match to what most would recognize. Merlin once a Druid child now Prophet of God and in later years mistaken for a wizard, came to them having been given orders from an Angel called Micah to forge two swords. The Sword of Great Britain, which would be made in a fashion humans at the time would make, the other would be designed to their level of excellence, this sword would be called Excalibur. The SGB was given to Merlin who blessed it then placed it in a stone which Arthur much like David proved worthy to remove. With the blade and the recognition as the chosen king he led the land into a glorious era of honor, faith, equality and hope.

Years later when the Saxons invaded in force the Sword of Great Britain broke at the hilt, it was forged as a fine sword but still ordinary and therefore wore away with time, this troubled the benevolent king and so he secluded himself at a nearby lake to pray. In the preceding months the Second Race had been informed this time in person by the same Angel, Micah, to watch King Arthur closely and to prepare to give him Excalibur, a sword forged with tech that gave it's wielder strength, speed, and an energy emitter to destroy many foes as well as cut through anything with a hyper vibration function. A sword worthy of a great human king.

The lake Arthur knelt to pray for God's help was one of the hidden entrances to the underground, hidden cameras surveyed his arrival. However none of them heard him praying as they had gone to prepare one of them to give the king his weapon, still the Creator works in mysterious ways He had heard but had compelled His faithful in advance to continue the plan, so when the time came they were ready. Ariana, one of the Second Race, entered an elevator directly under the lake and rose, this would give rise to the part of the legend around the Lady of the Lake, she carried Excalibur and so gave it to Arthur with God's blessing and so he used it to defeat the Saxon army.

Years passed Camelot thrived despite the many threats that arose, still even so they had no idea of two evils brewing in the world beneath. Two of the Second Race had been observing with the rest the growth of Camelot, however unlike the rest they viewed it with contempt, that humans without the blood of the their own people could not be trusted as a Light in a coming Darkness. Their names have been purposely lost to time as their future actions were utter treason, a sin that the source of all evil, Satan himself, had committed in the beginning of time and thus began strife for all. As such the original traitor had infested their minds with anger and hate so they would seek out a means to destroy Camelot. Mordred as he came to be known in secret infiltrated Arthur's Knights and garnering the Kings trust, Morgan Le Fey convinced him that she was his long lost half sister and even used medical tech in secret to heal and convince him to accept her. They did this carefully to keep their kin from finding out their plan, or so they thought, over time they came up with strange and bizarre methods of chaos in order to bring Camelot down. Even constructed a golem (robot), aka the Green Knight, to deal with Sir Gawain in a terrifying manner. Their true colors began to show in the latter years but Mordred dealt the final blow even as Morgan held off Merlin. When the deeds were done Camelot fell and despite prophesies that would come up later, Arthur died, never to rise in this world until the last days and no reincarnation, pagan ideas to give rise to Arthur's return, in other words a lie.

Upon reentry to the underground they were immediately arrested, confused as to why their kin would take such measures they attempted to resist arrest. Locked up and awaiting trial they pondered why this was happening, Camelot had fallen, they should be in mourning, surely they could not have found out their involvement. Little did they know that in spite of their disguises, the name changes, the hidden influence, one of their brothers had been spying on them when suspicions had arose of a traitor among them. The revelation of one of their own confirmed of treason was shocking to say the least, but the law was the law, and such actions needed to be dealt with or others might follow.

It was then that they were put on trial, their evil crimes were listed to them and sentence passed, at first they were calm until believing that there was nothing that could pin them to any supposed crimes, but as they heard more and more of the actual misdeeds they had committed the more they realized their lives were in danger. Eventually the list came to an end and upon hearing themselves be referred to by their false aliases they understood that they were being cast out from their people. However they could not be allowed the chance of being released with their knowledge and thus were sentenced to incineration. The two protested and begged which fell upon deaf ears until they were sealed in the disposal unit. In the end there was only their dying screams.

May they rot in torment until the end of days.
