I've been picking random objects to practice writing sonnets, of which I just learned.
My chair holds me up, has not let me down.
It keeps me from falling when I sit round.
It relieves my back when it can't stay up.
My chair helps me no matter what I say.

The chair is reliable and never
Does it complain about my weight or height.
How many times I put it up or down
It still is there for me without complaint.

But never does my chair ask how's my day.
Nor does it initiate gentle touch.
It doesn't care if it's really my butt.
It will support any butt that comes near.

My chair is so much help in times of need,
But it's certainly not a friend indeed.
