A little poem about a beautiful nightingale I saw one night.
Nightingale

The twinkling stars casted

A warm fuzzy glow

On the bird perched gingerly on

A spindly branch above the snow

She was a nightingale

Humming a sweet lullaby

Once you look into her eyes

You know she would never lie

She was a creature

That only emerged at night

Perhaps it was because

The day's noise did not suit her right

Her voice alone could best

An entire choir of angels.

It was an enchanting melody

That chases away your woes

Her songs weave

A colourful web of harmony

Once you hear one

It is forever etched in you memory
