About forgetting
The slow dance with God has been my container
I thought I was looking for home, but I never really left
God has held me all these years, if only I'd surrendered
Now I surrender
I am not in charge
I feel so much lighter, at ease
I can rest.

The dance continues, it progresses, it will not stay the same
He lets go so I can spin
I pull away so I can spin
I am not spinning alone
I clutch, doubt, drop in to fear
That's only human
I forget.

I come back
Back to me
Back to knowing
What I knew before
Before I forgot.
