Contemplating pier fishermen on Westernport Bay at sunset
Evening of the mellow coming of night
Rose color and shadows of meaning
Fishing in twilight
The casting and catching
the last of the weary day
The reflections of feeling
Reeling in ripples of hope
A fisherman's trope
A leap from the fading bay
As the tide slips out
To the mud
And the bloody horizon
Casts its final rays
When time stands still
'Til finally....
Stolen away.
