Mother and Daughter and Daughter and Mother
Do you tell her I’m dead? That’s the most recent, well the last two e-mail subjects and bodies sent from my mother. Well, no, Mom, I don’t tell my four year old daughter inappropriate things that are vindictive. I don’t use her as a pawn and I don’t explain things beyond her comprehension. At least, I TRY not to. But you wouldn’t understand that then would you? Always over sharing and explaining things to a CHILD that was yours to protect. When she asks about you, as four year olds tend to do, I tell her the truth. I tell her you’re in Arizona. Then she asks if you are at work and I tell her I don’t know what you’re doing. When the time comes and when it’s APPROPRIATE and when she can comprehend it, I will explain that by no fault of your own, you are mentally ill. Unfortunately, you have chosen to refuse treatment.
