a poem about 9/11 on it's 20th anniversary

Tragedy struck our homeland
twenty years ago to the day
with collapse of twin towers
threatening our freedom and our ways

A memorial was erected
at the site on which they stood
to remind us of our great loss
and a rebirth of brotherhood
