A Dark Dreamscapes Contest Poem
moon stares down through wicked woods
my prison guard in this dreary dream
nightmarish fantasies flutter by
on ghostly butterfly wings
trees crowd, silently judging
night bewitching sleep-dulled senses
as my sleepwear sprouts rhizomes
that chain me to the ground
