Waiting for the day

I’m getting ready for the day
When my life will all make sense
Why are we here? That’s what I say
Is it all a big pretence?


Getting ready, waiting still.
The day it never seems to come
My hopes and dreams I can’t fulfil
Though to despair I won’t succumb.
