A Dark Dreamscapes Octoberfest Poetry Contest Submission
Death beckoned
a light brighter
each passing day.

While my corpse decayed
my spirit traveled on
steadily to the light.

I turn to view my past self
and for a moment I return
reuniting spirit and flesh.

         One final time.
