An abducted child is never found
Where are you my child?
Stolen when I looked away
On a day so warm and mild,
You slipped my hand and went to play.

I never saw you e’re again
Did someone lure you from my side?
With promises of pretty things and then,
Stole you, hurt you. Did you cry?

Cried for me to rescue you,
For me to take you home?
I couldn’t help. They found your shoe,
When through the park they combed.

Composed, serene, you wait for me,
Peering through the trees,
Waiting, waiting patiently.
I’ll be there soon, keep waiting please
