cento poem using lines from poems by Thomas Campion
Give Beauty all her right,
Whose guiltless heart is free
Lovely forms do flow
And help to choose the Summer Queen;
Follow her while yet her glory shineth,
Melt her hard heart with your melodious sound.
From that smooth tongue whose music, hell can move;
At whose command the waves obey;
Threat'ning with piercing frowns to kill
Even from my heart the strings do break.
Though beauty no remorse.
O come quickly, sweetest Lord, and take my soul to rest!
