Mousey, Rolling-eyes, and Her Ladyship came to visit my son.
Three young ladies came today,
well dressed and looking fine.
But to their and my dismay,
my son dismissed them with a sigh.

Was it embarrassment that made him rude,
or fear of showing his heart.
He seemed in a bad mood,
but what he did was not smart.

One girl rolled her eyes,
said "really" and walked away.
Selfish and vain she was no prize,
she would lead my son astray.

A mousey girl said nothing,
just stared with hurt emotion.
As a Doormat her suffering,
Would reward her devotion.

The best one said goodbye,
with polite steel and self-respect.
She was the lady in my eye,
she had quality and was perfect.

I thought she was amazing,
And the best of the bunch.
But did I remove her from the running,
When my son heard my hunch?
