Valery Bradson spends her weekend with young Sarah Leheron.
A weekend with Valery DAY 2.

“The zoo! YES!”

Young Sarah was given the best surprise in months. She was eagerly looking forward to spend the weekend with Val, and now to top it all of, she’s going to the zoo with her! It’s the best day ever for young Sarah Leheron. And after a lovely breakfast she and Valery walked to the car and drove off to the zoo.

As soon as she arrives at the zoo, there was a huge line of people, eagerly awaiting to enter the zoo. Valery waited in line and off course, as always there were young, attractive guys in line and they noticed the one and only Valery waiting in line. A much beloved sight as the young Valery was in her late 20’s, the blooming of her life, she was a beautiful flower. But Valery had no time for hem now, she was here with Sarah and that’s what mattered most. She was given a serious job, and hell was she serious about it. Sarah though noticed a family waiting in the line next to her. She saw them before, at least the adults, but they also had a young daughter.

“Val, do you know those people?”

“Huh? Oh that’s the Fullertons!”

“They seem friendly, and who’s that?”

“Curiosity is not a sin Sarah, but don't be too curious, save that for the animals inside.”

“Aw, aunt Valery, Please…”

“Oh all right. But it’s quite a sad story. You see they tried to get a child several times what I heard. Seems it finally worked out. They truly are the kindest of people, always buying my flowers. They really are my main customers. And now they’re finally blessed with a daughter, god bless them.”

Sarah noticed a cute, little bear with a red bow tie, kept firmly in her arms. The young girl looks at Sarah and Sarah starts to wave. The little girl carefully lifted her hand, but quickly restrained herself and continued to walk in the line. Sarah smiled and didn’t mind the young girl being a bit shy.

Then they finally we’re able to enter the zoo and Valery paid for the tickets and they entered the park. How Valery got the money to spend her day in the zoo remained a secret for Sarah, but knowing Valery. She had her “ways” of achieving them. But it didn’t matter how or what, she was at the zoo and she was glad that Sarah was having a great time. She first visited the flamingo’s with Valery and the young silly Sarah couldn’t help but imitating the pinkish birds. Standing on one leg and causing Valery to laugh and she eventually joined her being silly, not caring about the other visitors looking at her, thinking they belonged in an asylum. They soon continued their stroll.

The zoo was created in several sections, showing the many continents of the world. Africa, Asia, Australia, North and South America, Europe, the Arctic and even a huge aquarium dome and Antarctic section. They first began in Africa and Sarah soon discovers one of the animals starring in her favorite movie.

“Look Val! Warthogs!”

“Why?”

“Huh..?”

“When he was a young warthog!”

“Haha, oh Val. When I was a young warthoooooog!”

“Haha, good job Sarah.”

Then Sarah started to read the sign about the warthog and smiled.

“Hmmm…this is an interesting fact.”

“What is?”

“Warthogs don’t see very well, but they have a keen sense of smell. Haha, sounds like you Val!”

“Why you little…COME HERE YOU!”

“Haha!”

Young Sarah ran as Valery ran after her, catching her and giving her the tickle death. They had a lovely time and laughed their way from animal to animal. From the trumpeting elephants, lazy hippos, laughing hyena’s, roaring lions, tall giraffes, confusing Zebra’s and many more animals from the African savannah. Off course she couldn’t skip the reptiles like crocodiles and the many tropical colorful birds. She visited Africa, Asia, Australia and then they entered South America. There they beheld one of the weirdest animals she could lay her eyes on.…

“What’s this.”

“Hmm…its a giant anteater. Ha this must be your mums favorite animal.”

“Haha, oh Val. But why’s that?”

“It eats around 35,000 ants and termites a day.”

“Wow really? How did you know.”

“Your talking about your aunt Valery, she knows everything. Oh and it says here on the sign.”

“Haha, oh Val. Your so silly.”

Then Sarah saw a big building, known as Amazonica. She never been in here before.

“Lets get inside.”

She led Valery inside and inside she beheld sloths, armadillo’s, tapirs and huge creepy crawlies. Enormous insects, reptiles and amphibians kept in tanks. Insects the size of your hand, spiders of enormous size.

“Ah so that’s why mom never wants to enter here.”

“Haha, and she’ll hate me for bringing you here.”

“Oh look what’s this? Butterfly zone? Let’s go!”

They both entered the butterfly zone and they beheld a beautiful botanical garden, with in the middle a lake with a waterfall. Surrounded by trees and tropical plants. Flying about we’re colorful and enormous butterflies. Valery and Sarah didn’t know where to look. Then suddenly a colorful blue butterfly landed on Sarah’s head.

“Haha, look it likes you.”

“Haha, hi little guy!”

The butterfly flew off and then landed on Valery’s nose. Flapping it’s wings before leaving.

“Wow I bet you smell like one of your flowers.”

“I haven’t been in my store since Friday, could they still smell it?”

“Maybe, or you smell like those warthogs and that’s why it flew away so quick.”

“Perhaps your…HEY! Oh you little…come here you!”

Sarah was once again chased by the tickle monster and left the building. The 2 continued up the road and left the South America Section and entered North America and the oceans. There they met penguins and sea lions. Young Sarah was followed by a curious penguin, swimming next to her on the other side of the glass, causing Valery to laugh. Val and Sarah had a lovely time and they entered the aquarium dome. There Sarah once again met a familiar face.

“Look Val! I found Nemo.”

“Oh so you did.”

There was also a keeper around, sighing. This was probably the millionth time he heard that joke by now. After leaving the aquatic zone, they went to have some lunch. Right after lunch Sarah went into the playground and plays around. Sliding down the tallest of slides and having a wonderful time. Sarah was so busy playing around, but as always keeping in Valery’s sight. Suddenly she noticed something. It was the young girl she saw before, only this time she was crying and her parents tried to comfort an ever crying daughter. Sarah noticed the bear was missing and she remembers that one time she left Snuffles in a store. On that day both Valery and Mary Jean couldn’t calm her down and they tried to find Snuffles, but with no luck at all. Luckily she was reunited with Snuffles after a young kid found the stuffed dog and gave it back to Sarah. She knew what this girl was going through and was quite saddened. She returns to Valery to bring her the news.

“Seems she’s missing her bear.”

“She is, aw. Poor soul.”

“You didn’t happen to see it, right?”

“Not a single clue. So wanna continue?”

“Yeah! Let’s go to Europe!”

"But first, let's get ourselves a lovely Ice cream cone!"

"Oh yeah, you rule aunt Val!"

The 2 of them grab their stuff, bought 2 ice cream cones, and continued to venture into the European section. There she beheld the mighty moose in a pleasant, Norwegian looking hut, overlooking the enclosure. Right after she spend time watching mother moose with her calf, she continued her walk and followed the path to the wolves. During her walk, she spotted something in the bushes, something rather odd. But Valery pushed her on, it was quite crowded, and they continued their walk to the wolves and other predators of the European woods.
At last they ended up at the entrance again and they managed to see every single animal. But the fun didn’t end there and Valery allowed Sarah to buy herself a lovely gift from the zoo. She decided to get herself a plushy anteater, so she can use it on her mother. But arriving at the entrance she saw the devastated young girl, still crying. Valery tried to comfort Sarah.

“Don’t worry, she’ll be fine.”

But something inside Sarah told her that she had to help this young girl and she remembered seeing something at the Moose lookout.

“Keep those people here.”

“What? Hey! Sarah! Where you going!”

“Keep them here!”

She ran off, but Valery was furious. She disobeyed her aunt again! The nerves of steel.

“Come back here! Right now! Sarah!”

Young Sarah didn’t listen, and ignored the yelling of Valery. This was something she was never going to survive if she didn’t get back to her aunt. But something told her she knew how to help this girl and so she arrived back at the Moose lookout. There she searches around, squeezing herself through the many people. Then she noticed the thing she saw before. Then she peeks in the bushes and finds a lost bear with a red bow tie. She knew she saw something rather odd.

“Yes!”

Valery grew worried and was furious, but she did what Sarah asked her to do and tried her best to keep the Fullerton’s to stay. It was far from easy as their parents just wanted to go home. They searched everywhere. Then she noticed a young Sarah returning, Valery was furious. Her eyes we’re burning red.

“Your in big trouble young….oh.”

She then noticed she held the little teddy bear in her arms, the long lost teddy bear. The little girl immediately smiled and forgot why she cried.

“Here you go.”

She hands over the little bear and the young girl never seemed so happy. And quietly spoke to her as she was very shy, and scared of Sarah.

“Thank you…”

She and her parents left the zoo.

“Wait, what’s your name?”

“Clarissa, her name is Clarissa.”

Clarissa’s mother replied as Clarissa was just too happy to have seen her lost bear, and she was way too shy and scared from Sarah. Hugging it like if it’s the first time she got him. Something inside Sarah knew that she would meet her again.

“Err, ahum..”

Young Sarah looks at her aunt. Tapping her feet on the ground and placing her hands at her shoulder. She didn’t look happy. Sarah now had to deal with Valery, oh this wasn’t good at all. She walks to Valery, head down, knowing that she was disobedience again.

“I know I’m in trouble.”

“Oh silly Sarah, what you did was fantastic. Mary Jean will be so proud. You gave that bear right back to her. I don’t mind you disobeyed me,
you did the right thing.”

“Haha, I learned that from you. Rules are meant to be broken.”

“Haha, what even are rules?”

She held Sarah’s hand and left the zoo. Valery starts the car and starts the long journey back home. While waiting before a red light, she noticed Sarah sleeping in the back seat. She smiled, knowing she delivered Sarah yet another excited adventure in Valery’s weekend.
After they arrived at Valery’s place, she grabs her stuff, ready to get back home to her mother Mary Jean. She was once again excited to get back to mom and tell her about her adventure. Mary Jean stood in front of the window, awaiting the return of her daughter, and at last she saw Valery’s car arriving. Young Sarah couldn’t wait and saw her mother waiting at the door. The car door opened and Sarah rushes out to her mother, who was ready to give her daughter a great big, welcome home hug.

“Mommy!”

“Haha Sarah!”

They hugged and Sarah was so excited to be back at her mom and she shows her the newest plushie animal she got, the anteater.

“What’s that?”

“An anteater, your new favorite animal in the world. They can eat up to 35,000 ants and termites a day. Valery told me.”

“Did she now?”

She looks at Valery as she brought Sarah’s bag and other stuff. Valery stuck out her tongue and winks.

“Well now let’s get you inside. Dinner is about to be served.”

She brings Sarah inside and Valery follows her. Valery joined Mary Jean for dinner as well and Sarah told about her fantastic weekend in all the details and glory, and Valery told of her heroic deed. Mary Jean couldn’t have been more proud of her daughter. After dinner and after helping Mary Jean doing the dishes, the trio went into the living room and Valery was up to something.

“But you know what time it is right Sarah?”

“Shower time?”

Valery turns on the radio and her favorite song was on the radio, turning it loud.

“Dance Sarah!”

“YES!”

She and Valery danced in the living room while mother Mary Jean laughed. She always found it a lovely sight that her best friend had such a good and fond bond with her daughter. They flipped their hair around, right in sync, headbanging her long blonde hair and Sarah’s long brunette hair.

“Haha, what a great dancing duo you are. Now Sarah, time for a shower.”

Now the overly excited Sarah was send into the bathroom to take a shower and left Valery and Mary Jean in the living room.

“*SIGH* What a weekend.”

“Haha, remember now Val. This was your idea, a monthly sleepover at La Val, remember?”

“Yeah, yeah, you don’t need to keep reminding me about that. I’m just a little bit tired, that’s all. I can handle her, you know.”

“Sure you can Val.”

Sarah then returns to her favorite persons in the world, dressed in her favorite bathrobe and pajama. She sat down, right inbetween Valery and Mary Jean.

“Now I have a very hilarious movie for you Sarah.”

“She does?” asked Sarah to Valery.

“You do?” asked Valery to Mary Jean.

“Yes I do!”

She starts the movie and the 3 of them began to watch it. After a long hour the movie ended and it was time to go to bed for Sarah.

“Haha, what a silly movie. Honey I shrunk the kids. If that was even possible, could you imagine? Tiny, shrunken people below our feet? Mom wouldn’t even try to figure out if they’re human, she just crushes everything tiny with her feet. And Val won’t even see them, even when they’re this close to her eyes.”

“Well, I guess it's time for bed.”

“Your right Val, it is! Come on young lady, brush your teeth and get to bed.”

Mary Jean escorted Sarah to the bathroom and brings Sarah to bed. Sarah slept with her newest doll and Mary Jean left her daughter in a peaceful sleep, after a goodnight kiss. She turns off the light and returns to Valery. Only to find Valery sleeping on the couch. Mary Jean smiled and sighed.

“Off course, you can handle it.”

Mary Jean sat down next to a sleeping Valery, enjoying her drink. Eventually Valery woke up.

“Rough weekend eh?”

“Yeah just a little bit. Well, I guess it’s time for me to leave. Tomorrow is another day at the flower shop. Hopefully mom and Ariel managed to
handle the store.”

“It’s not the first time Val. They can handle it, don't worry too much.”

“Yeah your probably right. Still a bit worried though, I’ve owned the place for 5 years now, haha, still have a lot to learn.”

She stood up and Mary Jean escorted her to the door and she was about to leave. Then suddenly the door of Sarah’s room opened and Sarah rushed out.

“Young lady your supposed to be in bed.”

“But…”

She began to show her frowny face.

“Aunt Valery is leaving and she never leaves without goodbye.”

“Oh come here you!”

She opens her arms and Sarah hugs her second favorite person in the world. Valery kissed her on the cheek before standing up. She then immediately goes back to bed and Valery leaves.

“Now off to bed Silly Sarah, pip pip!”

Sarah immediately ran to her room. Mary Jean and Valery smiled. She had a really lovely bond with Valery. She wasn’t called aunt Val for nothing!

“She’s special.”

“You mean a lot to her Val.”

“My sweet silly Sarah. Well I’m off, see you around Mare.”

“Bye Val, see you soon.“

With a final hug, Valery left the Leheron household and waves goodbye to Mary Jean.

“You did a great job Val.”

Knowing her mission was successful, she now deserved a well earned sleep and left the Leheron household. Mary Jean returned inside and so the weekend ends.
