As stated in the title
Berry picking in September;
Times I ought remember.
Summer easing,
Fall is teasing,
Mind and hearts surrender.

Toddling along the berry rows,
Tiny steps, stomps, and throws.
Cheerful beaming,
Spirit pleasing,
Child’s soul aglow.

Time will come for important things,
Hurried work and flatteries.
Though, for now, I do oblige
To fill a pail for jams and pies.

Peering up across the land,
Lonely mountain there did stand
Never seeking,
Never speaking,
Impassioned I to trance.

Counter to the mind that sought,
Measuring moments by a clock;
A life is wasted,
Rot and Trite.
Life is being, lest it be lost.

Warming in the smiling son,
Forgetting all the tasks undone;
Forgetting woes of things to come.
And, for now, I do oblige
To fill a pail for jams and pies.
