Seasons change
Blindsided
Lines: 18

such a vibrant sunset
its beauty blinding us
midday the sky was so blue
we were confident
we were in love
the last leaf on the tree
taken by a cold north wind
leaving it suddenly barren
but we were confident
we were in love
holding hands planning life
sharing hot chocolate
and a warm fire
we were confident
we were in love

and then
we were not
