A mountain in Missouri

Towering above Missouri,
Atop of Taum Sauk
Under a blood painted
Morning sky
Sadly, I wait for you.
Atop of Taum Sauk,
Under a blood painted
Kaleidoscope I am alone.

Morning sky is red,
Ominously I am reminded;
Under a blood painted
Neon sign you left me.
Towering above Missouri
Atop of Taum Sauk
I am surrounded by memory,
Not your warm embrace.
