Winter poem for Writer's cramp
I Love Winter

I love the Winter's frigid bite
Ten blankets help me sleep at night
And ice upon the steps and walk
Will make me focus like a hawk

Each time you feel your body shiver
Think about your frozen liver
I can see my breath in clouds
My lungs must want to scream out loud

I'd never trade this arctic pain
For balmy breeze or sunny Spain
Who wants to chill in warm LA
When there's a blizzard on the way

Just hold on then, what did I say?
Another blizzard on the way?
More snow to shovel, ice to scrape?
Why wouldn't everyone escape?

But wait, I think I fear the worse
This poem is written in reverse
I'd ditch the winter at all cost
My brain must be besot with frost
