Listening helplessly to a call of love
I would hear the voice of love
As I hear the voice of suffering
For the sake of love.
It echoes vaguely from the clouded gaze
And empty countenance.
I would hear its silent plea
For that special safety and a sign.
I would answer if I could,
But my voice is insignificant
And unheard.
