My thoughts on snow...

Ode to a Snowflake

I wait every year for winter to come,
and every year wish for it to snow at least once,
To let snow fall from the sky.
If it does one day,
I sit at the window bay
watching frozen art fly by.
Who is this artist who creates each masterpiece,
which no two are exactly alike?
He sits in the sky, making many more.
For Him, it is almost like a way of life.
The next day I come to the window
and my eyes never fail to see
the great sheet of snowy splendor.
And when it melts all away,
there eventually comes a day,
when the Artist returns to make another winter day.
