Ghost

He might as well
have been a ghost
no one seemed to see him.

No one heard
the words he spoke
no one would believe him.

Then one day
his fortune changed
and his life was sent askew.

Along the way
he found money and fame
now he didn't know what to do.

People had come
out of the woodworks en masse
and strove to be his friend.

And then he wished that he
was back in his past
and a ghost once again.
