Locked Away

In a secret box, locked up tight
hidden in a secret room
resides the all-encompassing light
that will drive away the gloom.

"Is it unreasonable," many ask,
"to let that light be shone?"
But nothing good was meant to last
and is all too quickly gone.

Being locked away is our guarantee
that regardless of the strife
we'll have light in our times of need
to guide us through this life.
