Went for a wander

The sun edged
over the far horizon
bluing the sky,
tinting the scattered clouds
with gold.

Higher now
reflected the dew
into a vast scattering
of diamonds
across the field.

Quiet, except
for the birds who
were exchanging
'Good Mornings.'
A doe raises her head.

Two bunnies hop
along the trail in front
of me, stopping to exchange
nose rubs. Peaceful morning
walk to greet this day.

The church bells
in town chime, All three
singing together.
The Son has risen.
Halleluja!
