Scents of Spring

It pours through the open door
and creeps into every room
turning frowns into smiles
when the jasmine's in bloom.

It tickles your nose
and gladdens your heart
the delicate scent so sweet

And the smell of a rose
is a scent set apart
and quite a lovely treat.

Honeysuckle flowers
that bloom after showers
are like icing on a cake.

Enticing a grin
and a tingle of skin
with every breath I take.

The fragrances of Spring
and the joy that they bring
set my soul to flight.

Reducing all care
with aromatic flair
and make everything all right.
