Time is fleeting... and so it goes
During lunch break I choose to continue a journey of writing I began so long ago

I choose to take the last decade of my life into account and recall what's worth

Typing about in such a strange time and place in my life

The children, the struggling marriage, the redemption, and growth

The cancer, the pandemic, the remission of all that is behind me

The impending loss of this job, the completion of a degree, the time and place

That lies ahead just beyond the bend out of sight but approaching

So quickly now the days begin to blend and blur, yet fear turns to hope

And the world that's behind becomes the world ahead and all that is now

Ends with a bell, and lunch is already over?!
