reflecting off life
“The Mirror”

Time comes and goes, and we all see our self’s is this big ugly mirror that we call life. Sometimes I stand there and stare as if it was going to go somewhere like life is meaningful and pleasant. I haven’t seen much that pleases me in this life and don’t know if I will ever find anything that will. Still, I can’t help but stand here and stare. I think to myself, “There must be something more than what I am seeing, could it just have been me.

Parden me I didn’t see you standing back there. Do you see what I see in the caged-up mirror? It seems to dark and cruel to be pleasant

Mam, may I ask you exactly what you are looking for.

I am trying to find the wonders that everyone else sees because for some reason I can’t see it.

Mam, may I ask you your name?

Are you seriously asking me what my name it? Why would you want to know? I am nothing but ordinary and searching for something I cannot find.

By the way the name is Anne, but who cares right?

This might be the deepest part of my wreckage that has come out. Why is it that I can’t find what I am truly looking for?

Anne still standing there trying to find her way through the mess as it seems like the worst disaster, she could have even seen with in herself. She thinks silently as people pass her by glancing at her while she stares in the mirror. Anne takes her focus of the mirror for a minute and noticed that the person that had asked her what she was looking for was still standing there. He slowly walks towards her with a smug look on his face and a half-cocked smile. Anne this mirror shows you the past present and the future.

Anne once again takes her eyes off the mirror and turns to look at him but in that brief second, he was gone. She thinks to herself,” What and why am I seeing this”? Thinking really hard as to turn back to the mirror she glances another time noticing that what she was seeing seemed so real.

She lifts her arm and reaches out to touch it than pulls her hand back real quick. SHIT!!! What just happened. It was almost like I was getting pulled inside as if it was drawing me to another world. Anne reaches for the mirror again and before she knows it she gets sucked inside. Falling through a pairall vortex she starts to fall feeling extremely heavy. This is all in my head! She says to herself shutting her eyes and wishing that it would stop.

Anne opens her eyes back up and notices that she isn’t where she was when staring into the mirror. This world is different and seems like a mess. She can’t help but stand there and stare with a blank look on her face scared and alone.

Can this be what I am truly seeing the truth to my inner fears. We must look and wonder if that is what a mirror is. Is it a reflection to who you really are? Looking around Anne tries to gather her thoughts and keep them collected. I know if I stay calm and not freak out maybe I will find the answer that I am looking for. Now let’s think back and remember what we first saw.

Anne remembers that the mirror showed her an unhappy place, a place that she did not want to see. It was full of misery and hate. Could it be that this is what I am feeling inside myself or is it the things that I have experienced in my life? Taking a step back Anne takes a deep breath and starts to walk. Time to explore and see what I may find. As time seems to go by to fast Anne starts thinking harder. If a mirror shows a reflection of what one sees than it can also reflect what one’s life can be like.

Anne starts sinking into a slow slumber falling asleep right where she stands. Waking up she is standing right back in front of the mirror that she was staring into. She couldn’t believe what a weird dream that she had. she was sure that it was real. Thinking on what she was seeing and the dream that she has had it makes her open her eyes to a new look on life. The mirror is no longer showing the mess that she was in but a beautiful life that she wants to have.

In the end Anne has changed the way she sees life itself. If a mirror reflects you than it sure will reflect the life that you make it to be. Keep positive and positive will happen to you. Live in the low areas and it will never get better. Take the time to reflect on yourself and see what happens in the end.

What does your mirror show?
