Things Not Said

I tend to keep my feelings in
and hide them behind a grin.

So many thoughts I've kept inside
only to save some speck of pride.

So many things I should've told you
but I left you without a clue.

It all weighs heavily upon me -
don't think I'll ever truly be free -
from the torment of my indecision,
just know I regret it, in retrovision.

Because it's always the things not said
that undeniably mess with a person's head.
