The first chapter of my book about the characters omnipower, omnipresence, and omniscience
Chapter 1

And then, made the light. It was white, like everything else in that place. At the center of the infinite void was a child, the child who created light. His dark hair gave rise to the only other color in the universe, which some might say wasn't even a color. The boy's name was Oni, and in the midst of the floating darkness, he played alone.

"The light, the sun, the sea, galaxy and stars and atoms, duties and freedom, gold, silver, dimensions, tools, parents, brothers, enemies and mirrors. Created by me, the only, mighty, undisputed God!"

Oniiii - said Presi.

The boy turned to the disembodied voice calling to him. Presi was unhappy when he had to call oni more than once, and the boy didn't want Presi unhappy at all.

I'm going - he shouted

The child jumped back toward Presi, not quite sure where he was. Finding the omnipresence was a far more complex task than the name suggests, often becoming a sort of Marco Polo prank.

Here. Here. To the left. Hi Oni.

Pre! I found you, what happened?

I just wanted to know what you were doing, O. I've seen some explosions in your hands and half the time that means trouble.

His eyes sparkled. He spoke excitedly.

I created the universe, I did. The light did some pretty things, then some pebbles, and then the little ones came followed by the big ones and the big ones are called galaxies because of the milk and the little ones I don't know, I think I'll call it the fourth, no, maybe... Ah, we can ask T?

Presi gave the child beside him a motherly smile, wanting more than anything to say yes, and regretting that she couldn't lie.

T is busy preparing dinner.

Oni snorted.

He doesn't need to,” he said with his arms crossed. - I want to talk to him now. Here, let me create dinner.

And in just one movement, a snap of the fingers, a single thought, a simple will, omnipotence created table, chair, chicken, roasted and fried, potatoes of all kinds, fish, tablecloth, plates, cutlery, meat knives, salad, salad forks, fruit, and fruit salad.

Bien-veni mousieres.

You know I don't understand these codes - said the omnipresence.

Oni shrugged his shoulders. “It's probably wrong. Besides, T knows.”

T joined the table from the knowledge that dinner was served. Presi wondered if omniscience really started cooking dinner, or if he knew from the start that Oni would end up doing everything.

Welcome T. - said Oni smiling. The innocent smile of a child who has everything he wants.

T joined the table solemnly.

The three got ready at the table. T sat down in a chair, Oni dove into roast chicken and potatoes, and Presi had an existential crisis trying to imitate the omniscience.

Pre, why don't you sit down? said Oni, confused and amused by the look of despair on the face of the disembodied omnipresence, unable to sit up. - T, why doesn't he sit down?

He's sitting.

He's up! - complained the child.

And he is sitting. - T concluded simply.

I am here. said the Presence.

Oni drew a sad face, defeated, served a piece of chicken - "I don't like that."

Presi tried his best to sit in the chair, next to Oni, to eat the chicken and potatoes, praise the food as much as possible and tell jokes. Instead he was too busy failing to lean on the chair, just the chair, so busy he couldn't even crack a joke. T, omniscient and serene, recognized the illogicality of the task long before it even existed, and ate salad with his salad fork, occasionally nipping at his potatoes, as if he had all the time in the world.

T! I wanted to ask you something. - said the omnipotence with its mouth full.

Ask my lord. Presi stop it, it makes no sense. What is the doubt?

Presi snorted in defeat. Oni continued shyly.

Well... I created the universe, right? And it has light and galaxies and stone, and there are also bigger things, bigger than galaxies I don't know the name yet, but galaxies are the second largest, but there are smaller things also smaller than galaxies and stone, smaller than sand, T, they are tiny and I think it's called quartz but I didn't like the name and when I don't like the name...

When you don't like the name,” T said slowly, “it's not the right name."

Oni breathed. "Yea. That's right."

Good - T took a bite - quartz is not bad. I don't know many words with TZ, for me you should keep it.

Ah.. but it doesn't work T. It could be something else later, but that's not what I created now, it's very tiny and… invisible.

Invisible - T said, tasting - This is new, not visible. It's pretty small.

Omniscience rested his index finger on his chin. - It's been a long time since a creation brings with it a new word, other than its name. Invisible. Better than not visible - he pondered. - Quartz is not the name of an invisible thing, maybe… maybe

Transparent,” said Oni suddenly.

Transparent - the word slipped out of T's mouth - Another magnificent, this quartz is special.

It's not quartz - he said sulking - That's almost it. Quartz is transparent. That's invisible.

How does it look? If it weren't invisible, what would non-quartz look like?

The child thought with his eyes up. “Hmm… triangle. Yeah, three points.”

Pointed. Small and pointy - T said - In that case the Q is not a good choice. Quartz. Quartz. And the Q? It's also round. How about Kuartz?

Oni wrinkled his nose, as if the roasted chicken had been in the fridge since the last supper.

Kuartz. - said oni - No. I like the Q, reminds me of the T, you.

Then Quartz. Decided.

Oh no. I liked K. It's going to be Quark. Yes. - and Oni regained his childish smile, satisfied with the decision that was always his.

“Quark. An elegant name for a creation we don't know what it is” - thought T.

Good name, good name - said Oni - And what is the quark?

The quark is small - T said without blinking - Smaller than everything else there is, teeny teeny, smaller than this and that. He, he, forms the galaxies - he concluded - In this case, the quark can exist without the galaxy, but not the other way around.

Omnipotence squinted at omniscience, who wondered if he noticed his hesitation. Then Oni opened his eyes, "It's like bricks in a house!" - exclaimed

And blue, green, and red brick houses appeared. Then came floating doors, purple as violets, red as roses, yellow as the sun. And while these colored objects that appeared like other things, other things appeared. The galaxy got suns, got flowers, violets, roses, and finally got red suns. The floating doors fitted into the bricks of the houses beside the three dinner tables. Omnipotence, too satisfied in its process of creation, did not want to stop, and decided that something was missing from the sun-colored brick houses. He drilled holes next to the doors, one on each side, with a radius of 5 by 5 bricks. The holes looked too empty, and tired as he was, Oni would sort it out later, after eating potatoes.

Science got up from the table towards the new houses. The Presence, which was already there, followed T in the sole and exclusive function of imitating him. Oni, with his infinite childish creativity, snapped his fingers as he ate potatoes, and around the little brick village, grass appeared.

Presi and Oni sat and ate, hypnotized by the creations out of curiosity and pride. The one who knows everything noticed the lack of bricks beside the doors, and when the grass appeared, he approached the little green curiously, ran his fingers between the droplets that would be called water, and for the first time since the beginning of his existence. , did not understand.

Oni - said T without taking his eyes off the grass - what is this?

Oni turned his head towards his friend. He was about to snap his fingers and create more potatoes, but he stopped when he realized he would have to wait, and he didn't like cold food. He leapt up from his chair and kept hopping until omniscience crouched in the middle of the brick village. The child's bare feet felt the grass for the first time since the beginning of its existence, and although he was the origin of that creation, he was always surprised by the first-hand experience.

He rested his rosy cheeks on the grass floor.

I don't know T. Is it a prank? I should be asking you,” he said, covering his laughter with one hand.

T stood up frowning.

I know, I know. Out of curiosity, what is this to you? Before I tell you and spoil the fun.

Ah T, I would call it… grass. Yeah, grass. He put his hands on his hips, glad he got it right the first time.

Hearing the sound of the word, omniscience took a deep breath, welcomed the definition, and smoothed the creation on his fingertips, grunting between his teeth. He hesitated for a moment, until he realized the omnipotence waiting for an answer from him.

It's… it's beautiful Oni. Great name too.

The little god smiled, knowing it was, yes, a great name. “Your turn!” he said. What is grass?

The grass? He said, tilting his head to the side.

Oni got angry. YES. This right here, the green.” - He said, touching the rug at his feet.

This here - he replied imitating the gesture - It's a set of greens, they are straight and thin and can cut if you run your fingers too fast. They also gather water if it rains, and according to you, soak up the sun.

Oni's eyes lit up.

The sun?

The child looked up, feeling the sun once more on his skin, still touching the grass. “This grass is interesting, isn't it?”

T grunted before nodding. “Grass is interesting. That is."

Oni thanked T satisfied, before leaping across the green fields that Oni called grass. T could barely look in his direction, couldn't take his eyes off that green carpet with no energy. He looked at the ground and then at Presi, who was still looking at the sun. T went in the direction of the latter, trying harder than necessary to find the omnipresence. When he found it, he touched her arm and said softly, "We need to talk."
