A free form poem
Sadness
So much sadness
Awash in it

Like an underground river
That eats slowly away at the foundation of the earth
One day it will all cave in

Unutterable
the sadness

Year by year
eroding
slowly
that which it was formed from

Until there is nothing left
But sadness
